Kevin Engineering delivers full-lifecycle engineering support: licensed PE review and stamping, technical document verification, design checking, calculations, CAD drafting, 3D modeling support, compliance review, and permit-ready sealed sets across structural, civil, electrical, mechanical/HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, geotechnical, and related disciplines.
A PE stamp certifies that drawings or calculations were prepared or thoroughly reviewed under a licensed engineer’s responsible charge. Many U.S. building departments require it before issuing permits for structural, MEP, civil, and other regulated work.
No. Kevin Engineering provides licensed PE stamping in the eastern United States: the states east of the Mississippi River, plus Washington, D.C. Choose the project state in the quote form so we match a PE licensed there.
PE stamping is priced by sheet count. The set uses one volume rate that drops as the page count grows, from $100 per sheet down to $25 per sheet. Enter the number of pages, or select a sample plan for that category. Rush adds 40% and emergency adds 80%. An on-site survey is extra: $450 for residential or solar, $650 for other projects, and $850 for commercial, plus about two business days. CAD drawings are priced by square footage. Final pricing is confirmed after plan review.
Turnaround scales with page count and scope. Smaller stamp sets can be as fast as about 1 business day; larger packages typically take several business days. Drawings turnaround scales with square footage. Rush service shortens the timeline. Your live quote shows an estimated schedule before you submit.
Yes. Enter the number of sheets, or select a sample plan, and the quote updates without uploading files. You can still upload the plan set if you want the page count read from the files. Project address is optional. Drawings quotes need square footage. Final pricing is confirmed after plan review.
We do more than stamping. Our network supports engineering design documentation, independent design verification and checking, technical document review, CAD drafting, 3D modeling support, as-built documentation, and permit compliance coordination — in addition to licensed seals.
PDF plan sets and PNG images for the live quote tool. Each PNG counts as one page. You can upload multiple files in one quote. Deliverables are typically stamped PDFs suitable for permit; other formats can be discussed after intake.
When plan check comments are on the scope that was sealed, the same engineer answers them and reseals the revised sheets. A redesign outside that scope is quoted again.
Add a visit when the drawings leave out the existing structure, grades, or equipment the seal depends on. An engineer walks the property. The fee is flat: $450 for residential or solar, $650 for other projects, and $850 for commercial. Rush does not multiply it, and the visit adds about two business days. Turn it on in the live quote.
States east of the Mississippi, plus Washington, D.C. That is New England, the Mid-Atlantic, the Southeast, and the Great Lakes. The license follows the project address, not the office in Stafford, Virginia. Work west of the Mississippi, and work in Canada, is outside this practice.
